Los Angeles Lakers NBA Sport Teams NMD Human Race Adidas NMD Sneakers

The LA Lakers have been a basketball powerhouse for as long as anyone can remember. They’ve won more championships than any other team in the NBA, and their fans are devoted to the team regardless of their results. One of the things that makes the Lakers so popular is their fan culture – and one of the main sources of this culture is their apparel. The Lakers are known for their iconic purple and gold uniforms, but they don’t just rely on these uniforms to create an image. In fact, Adidas teamed up with the Lakers to create a special edition of the NMD Human Race sneakers. If you’re a fan of the Lakers and want to show your support, consider buying a pair of these sneakers. They’re sure to make you feel like a part of the team!

Kobe Bryant’s Retirement

On April 26, 2017, Kobe Bryant announced his retirement from the NBA after 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant is widely considered one of the greatest players in league history and is the all-time leader in points scored (38,387), assists (13,643), steals (2,711), rebounds (3,866) and blocks (1,868). He was also named to 15 All-Star teams and won five scoring titles. As a member of the Lakers, he led them to five championships – in 2000, 2009-10, 2012-13 and 2015-16. In 2016-17, he helped lead the team to their first title in 25 years. Bryant’s career highlights include an Olympic gold medal in 2008 as a member of Team USA and an MVP award in 2005.

The Lakers’ offseason

The Los Angeles Lakers had a very tumultuous offseason. On one hand, they added another All-Star in LeBron James. However, the team’s biggest problem was its lack of depth. This led to some disgruntled players and eventually led to the firing of head coach Luke Walton.

LA Clippers forward Lance Stephenson was hired as Walton’s replacement on June 24th. Stephenson brings a wealth of experience to the table, having played for five different teams in his career. He will have to quickly adjust to the NBA game, as the Lakers play an extremely uptempo style that is completely different from what he is used to playing in the Association.

Another big offseason acquisition for the Lakers was JaVale McGee. The center has been a mainstay in Golden State’s lineup over the past few seasons and is coming off of a down year with Denver. McGee will provide some much needed backup minutes at both Center and Power Forward for the Lakers this season.

On draft night, LA traded their first round pick (25th overall) and D’Angelo Russell to Brooklyn for Brook Lopez and two future second round picks (44th and 58th). This move clearly indicates that Magic Johnson and Co are rebuilding after missing out on LeBron James this summer. With all of their key subtractions from last season (Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, etc.), it will be interesting to see how far they can go this year without them.

LeBron James to the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been a basketball powerhouse for over 50 years, and they still have one of the best young rosters in the NBA. The Lakers are looking for a new head coach after being disappointed with Luke Walton’s performance. They’ve reportedly reached out to LeBron James, who is currently the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s unclear if James will actually take the job, but if he does it would be a huge coup for the Lakers. He could help them win another championship, and give them some much-needed credibility after their disappointing season last year. James has also said before that he loves LA, so this could be a perfect move for him.

Lonzo Ball’s Sophomore Season

After spending his freshman season at UCLA, Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Ball averaged 11.2 points, 7.6 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game as a rookie, earning him an All-Rookie First Team selection and being named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team. Ball’s sophomore season was even better – he averaged 22.9 points, 10.8 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game en route to winning MVP honors and leading the Lakers to their first championship in 35 years.

Brandon Ingram’s Second Season

Brandon Ingram’s sophomore season was an up-and-down one. He started the year off strong, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds in his first five games. However, he then hit a stretch where he averaged only 8 points on 33 percent shooting over the next six games. Ingram bounced back in a big way by averaging 23 points and 11 rebounds over his next nine games.

Ingram struggled again in late January and early February, scoring just 12 points on 34 percent shooting in two straight games. However, he bounced back with a strong performance against the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 9, scoring 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting.

Injury plagued Ingram throughout much of the second half of the season, limiting him to just 41 total minutes over the last seven games. Despite this issue, Ingram finished sixth overall in MVP voting and helped lead the Lakers to their fourth consecutive playoff appearance.

DeMar DeRozan to the Raptors

Toronto Raptors DeMar DeRozan arrives at the arena in his signature shoes, Adidas NMD Human Race. The shoes are part of the adidas Originals collection and have been a popular choice for many athletes.

The shoes were made in collaboration with Japanese sneaker brand, Y-3. They are available in three colors: White, Cream, and Black. The shoes are high-top sneakers with a textile upper and a rubber outsole. They also come with an internal heel counter and a carbon fiber plate on the front of the shoe.

DeRozan said that he is ” stoked ” to wear the shoes and that they will help him play better basketball. He added that he loves how versatile they are and that they can be worn both on the court and off it.

Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics

Isaiah Thomas is one of the most talented and polarizing players in the league. He has won multiple championships with the Celtics, but he also has a reputation for being difficult to deal with on and off the court.

Thomas was traded to the Lakers this offseason in a blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston. Thomas has wasted no time making an impact in L.A., averaging 22 points per game through 11 contests.

One criticism of Thomas is that his high scoring averages are mainly due to easy buckets given to him by defenses that are out of position or overmatched. However, Thomas is still an excellent passer and ballhandler who can create shots for others when defenders do manage to stay in front of him.

Thomas will likely face more challenges playing against tougher defenses on the Lakers than he would have on the Celtics, but he is still one of the most dangerous scorers in the league and should have no trouble putting up big numbers in L.A.

Kawhi Leonard to the Spurs

The Kawhi Leonard saga continues as the San Antonio Spurs appear willing to part with their superstar forward in order to acquire Anthony Davis. Reports suggest that the Spurs are set to offer Leonard and Danny Green a package including DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and a first-round draft pick.

It’s no secret that the Lakers have been interested in acquiring Leonard for quite some time now. L.A. has been linked to the 27-year-old multiple times this offseason, and president of basketball operations Magic Johnson recently said that he is “absolutely” open to trading for Leonard. However, it’s unclear whether or not the Lakers would be willing to trade such an important player like Davis for Leonard.

If Los Angeles does decide to pull off a trade for Leonard, it will undoubtedly require some creative maneuvering. The Lakers currently have zero true shooting guards on their roster (although Lonzo Ball could potentially be moved into that role), which would necessitate either shipping one of their centers (most likely Kuzma) or another valuable asset like Brandon Ingram or Kyle Kuzma. It’s also worth noting that if L.A. were to acquire Leonard, it would likely have him play alongside Davis instead of LeBron James – something that might not be optimal given how poorly Leonard fared alongside James last season with the Spurs.

Regardless of what happens with Kawhi Leonard, there’s no doubt that he

Kevin Durant to the Warriors

Kevin Durant is a free agent and the Warriors are already in the process of forming their championship roster for next season. With that being said, KD will likely leave the Bay Area and move to the Golden State Warriors.

Durant has been with the Oklahoma City Thunder since he was drafted in 2007, and he has won two MVP awards and four scoring titles during his time there. He averaged 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists per game last season.

The Warriors are one of the favorites to win next year’s NBA title. They have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and DeMarcus Cousins all under contract for next season. Durant would help add another dimension to this squad.

The NBA’s Biggest Trade of the Summer

The NBA’s Biggest Trade of the Summer

It was a big trade and it changed the landscape of the league. On July 6th, the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr., and a first-round pick. The deal was met with skepticism from some as to whether or not it would work out, but it has so far proven to be one of the biggest trades in NBA history.

Since acquiring Davis, who is considered to be one of the best players in the league, the Lakers have gone on a tear. They are currently second in their division behind only Golden State and they have a chance to make an appearance in the playoffs this year. This turnaround has been possible because of Davis’ incredible skills and his ability to create shots for his teammates. Since coming to Los Angeles, Davis is averaging 27 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks per game. He has truly made an impact on both sides of the court.

While many people may have doubted how this trade would work out, it has turned out to be one of the most successful moves that either team has made this season. The Lakers now have a player who can dominate on both ends of the court and they are currently using all five of their draft picks (including
