Hedgehog Christmas Gift Ornament

Every year, Emma would head to her favorite store and buy the same decorated ornament. She loved how it always reminded her of holiday cheer and she was happy with the fact that she had found something so perfect for herself. But this year, when Emma went to purchase her usual item there were no hedgehog Christmas Gift Ornaments left in stock! All she could find were other animals like polar bears or rabbits.

Emma felt sad but at least one good thing came out of it because now every time she looks at the new animal ornaments they remind her just how much happiness can come from things you might not expect!

One early morning, in the cold and bitter month of December in a country called England, I was hopping my way towards a large red building in search for food. It wasn’t very often that there were any animals around to eat, but with all the snow on the ground this day it seemed like an excellent opportunity.

I started feeling excited when I saw some dark brown leaves poking out from underneath one of the bushes near me. Moving closer I found myself surrounded by low hanging branches covered with beautiful berries! The bush had been hiding them from view earlier and they must have fallen off during the night’s frosty breeze. They smelled delicious too; pushing my nose up against one of them brought back memories of days spent lounging

The hedgehog’s hollow was getting chilly and he still had not found a gift for his family. Thinking about how much they all loved him, he decided to give them gifts that could be appreciated year-round: warm clothes, woolen hats and gloves to bundle up in when it got cold outside, socks and slippers to keep their paws nice and cozy by the fire. When Christmas came around again next year, there was no need for fretting because the hedgehog knew exactly what to give them!

Fern wiggled her prickly nose at the enormous Christmas tree in front of the mall. It was decorated with colorful ornaments, but she had no interest in any of them. She’d searched every shopping center for a hedgehog ornament, to no avail.

She sighed heavily and scratched an itch on her backside before looking up again at the tree. The mall lights were reflecting off its icy branches–almost hypnotizing Fern–when suddenly she saw it! It was a cold and lonely night in the forest. The ground was covered with ice and snow, and all of the trees were coated in frost. The wind howled through the branches, making their leaves shiver as they hung from their boughs. One such tree had a little hedgehog curled up on one of its branches to help keep warm. It sighed sadly as it looked over at all of its friends who were snuggled inside their burrows or tucked away safely under piles of leaves to wait out this cold winter freeze.

Suddenly, there’s a glimmering light coming closer! As it gets closer, we see that it is Santa Claus carrying his pack full of presents on his back! He walks up
