Darkseid DC Comics Air Jordan 1 High Top Sneakers

The upcoming Air Jordan 1 High Top sneaker from DC Comics features a black and red colorway inspired by Darkseid. The sneaker is scheduled to release on December 3rd and will retail for $160. The sneaker is made with a premium nubuck upper and comes with a special tag featuring Darkseid’s face.

After the success of Justice League, Warner Bros. sought to create a cinematic universe around DC Comics characters. In 2013, Darkseid was introduced in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the main antagonist. The character quickly became one of the most popular in the comics and Snyder has since announced a solo film starring Darkseid.

After a five year absence, the evil Darkseid returns to comic books in a big way this month. DC Comics released an all-new issue of Justice League featuring Darkseid as the main antagonist. In anticipation of Darkseid’s return, Jordan Brand has release a new pair of Air Jordan 1 High Top Sneakers. Dubbed the “Darkseid sneaks,” these sneakers Feature a black and red colorway with hints of green and silver. The shoes are inspired by Darkseid’s battle armor from DC Comics’ New 52 line. The sneakers will be available at select Jordan retailers on October 25th for $130.
