It was December, and all the little girls were looking forward to Christmas. All except Marie. That is because she had a terrible secret: she didn’t know what to buy her Dad for a present! It would be his first Christmas ever without Mom, and not knowing what gift to get him made her feel even worse about it. One day, as she was walking home from school, she saw an adorable Chow Chow ornament in the window of a pet store! She knew he loved dogs so much- this would make the perfect Christmas present for him!

“What do you think about this one, Mom?” my daughter asked me as she held up a red and white paper ornament. “It has little paw prints all over it.”

I looked at the ornament in her hands and smiled. I loved that she was starting to get into Christmas already! The past few years, we had been so busy with work that we didn’t even really celebrate much. Now that she’s older and understands what it is all about, I’m excited to see how our family celebrates together this year!

When I woke up and saw the present under my tree, I knew it was from Santa. It had a very familiar smell that reminded me of freshly baked Christmas cookies. “Merry Christmas Kiyoshi,” said the card signed by Santa. When I opened it, there were six chow chows all in their natural colors: black, apricot (yellow), red, grey (silver), cream and chocolate brown!

I was so excited for this new Chow Chow Christmas ornament. I bought the thing on sale, but it’s not really worth it at all. It doesn’t even show up on my tree!

Pamela was just about to go into the kitchen with her husband, John. John had his hands on their new Chow Chow Christmas Gift Acrylic Ornament. He pulled her back and showed it to her for what felt like the thousandth time since they opened it this morning.

“Look at how cute he is!” he said while pointing to the ornament’s face of a pup wearing a Santa hat, “I can’t believe we got him.”

Just as Jane is about to swipe her card at the cash register, someone else grabs the ornament from off the shelf! Not wanting another customer to take away her perfect gift, Jane begins tugging on his arm in order to get him back in line with herself. When he rudely tells her that he doesn’t want whatever she’s selling, she starts crying uncontrollably in hopes that he’ll feel sorry enough
