Professional Football Career

After graduating from Notre Dame, Page was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 1967 NFL Draft. He played for the Vikings for 11 seasons and was a key member of the team’s famed “Purple People Eaters” defense. Page helped lead the Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in both 1971 and 1973.In 1978, Page was traded to the Chicago Bears, where he played for four seasons before retiring in 1981.
